Kevin and Ian

Kevin resided in McKinley, Pennsylvania and was good friends with Jason and Wendy. He was dating Carrie, who unbeknownst to him planned on breaking up with him following graduation. Kevin had something else in mind though and planned on proposing to her come graduation day. He and his friends attended McKinley Park for grad night were they boarded the ill fated Devil's Flight Rollercoaster.

Kevin witnesses Wendy Christensen panicking after she claims she had a vision of the roller coaster killing everyone. He ends up getting out of the cart with her after the tour is interrupted, where he enters a heated deterrence with Lewis Romero. When he and Wendy are expelled from the scene, Kevin sees Wendy's vision come true and kill everyone, including his girlfriend Carrie.

After a few weeks, Kevin showed interest in disaster premonitions like Devil's Flight. He reveals to a devastated Wendy that six years earlier, Alex Browning had foreseen the explosion of Flight 180 and that all survivors were mysteriously killed. Wendy ignores him, still feeling the loss of her boyfriend Jason to the accident, and leaves.

Investigating photos

Kevin is later seen at the funeral of Ashley Freund and Ashlyn Halperin, witnessing Ian McKinley 's eccentric speech with life and death. Kevin finds Wendy at Jason's grave, where she shows pictures that predicted the deaths and accidents of several people, including Ashley and Ashlyn. They go to a Driving Thru, where they try to decipher how Frankie will die, only for him to unintentionally participate in Frankie's death through a strange accident. From that point, Kevin stops being skeptical and starts to believe Wendy.

Trying to stop Death

The next day, they go to the gym to warn Lewis of the danger he faces. However, Lewis does not believe them and is killed in front of Kevin and Wendy when his head is crushed by weights. Knowing that Ian and Erin are next, he goes to the hardware store where they work. Wendy tries her best to talk about Death 's plans, but Ian is debauched. Erin Ulmer is impaled by nails from an automatic pistol after Ian is saved by Kevin. He sees Erin's last moments of life before she dies.

Trying to survive the Tricentennial

Kevin reveals to Wendy Christensen that he will be security for the city's Tricentennial. At night, he takes a call from Wendy who informs him that Julie and another stranger are the hooded pair who were sitting on the fifth roller coaster cart. He tries to find Julie while he is afraid of everything involving fire, as he now knows how he will die through the photo of the carnival.

During the fireworks show, Kevin meets a rabid Julie before saving her from being impaled by skewers by a horse frightened by the noise. Kevin ends up being next after Perry Malinowski, but is saved from being charred by Wendy. Along with Julie and Wendy, they try to escape but are stopped by Ian who wants to discuss Erin's death before realizing that he may be the cause of Wendy's death. Death launches fireworks at a cherry picker that collapses on top of Ian and smashes him to death.

Death[]

Five months after Devil's Flight, Kevin is reunited with Wendy and Julie on a subway train on his way home from a football game. Suddenly, Wendy has another premonition of the subway derailing. In the premonition, Kevin is jettisoned outside, screaming as he is violently ground between the tunnel wall and train.

Trivia[]

  • There is strong controversy about Wendy, Kevin and Julie's deaths. There's a slight possibility that the train stopped after several attempts by Kevin, but this is highly doubtful. Not only that, but since it just so happens Kevin's on the same train Wendy and Julie are on, it would be a great opportunity for Death to finish up list. Also, no one has managed to successfully cheat Death in any of the Final Destination films, so the fact that Kevin didn't die would be baffling.
  • The strange fact about Kevin, Julie and Wendy's deaths are that usually it at the end of the film it is unknown whether the survivors lived or not, in the next film, their fates are revealed. In the end of Final Destination, it is unknown whether Alex, Clear and Carter survive but their fates are revealed in the next film. The same goes for the fate of Kimberly and Thomas in Final Destination 2. Their fates are revealed in Final Destination 3 in a newspaper article in Choose Their Fate. Yet, Wendy, Kevin and Julie's deaths aren't mentioned in The Final Destination, but producer Craig Perry had confirmed their death several times via different sites.
  • Kevin used to own a gray 1990 GMC Sierra, which was destroyed by a driverless truck, his engine failed and the fan killed Frankie.
  • In a scene in Wendy's room, Kevin asks her if he isn't going to have his face "pressed against the windshield". Later, it is seen on the second premise that Kevin has his face pressed against the train window before being crushed against the wall.
  • Kevin was named after the scanning and recording worker of the film.
  • Zac Efron auditioned for the role of Kevin.
